I was talking with a client this morning about his 10 year old son and “travel ball”  which as you will come to know, I don’t like.  I posed this question to him,  what is more valuable for your sons development in the long run?  A trophy that he will win on some back field or an investment over the summer in said book from the reading list below.  I don’t want to go into a long discussion about the shortcomings of the system, it is what it is I understand both the value and the drawbacks.  As many of you coach players that will go off to their summer programs and play, equip them with some real value that will pay off for both you and for them in the long run.  I have recommended below 5 books every serious player should read this summer.  Please forward to your parents or any players family looking for an edge.  Here it is.
